Company
Being a car enthusiast, engines and speed was the initial attraction. Now paired with the science, race strategy and a bit of soap like drama there is always something to talk about.
For a live event it has to be Abu Dhabi, due to the climate, after race concerts and luxury surroundings, such as the hotels, nightlife and venue facilities. On TV anywhere it rains, as it creates excitement and change in outcome…. Read more
Abu Dhabi, and staying in the hotel with the famous. From getting in the lift with Fernando Alonso, having breakfast on the table next to Seb Vettel, and being on the beach alongside Mattia Binotto in his red Ferrari gear writing his resignation.
Singapore or Las Vegas but doing it in style
Im a Lewis fan, so currently looking to sell all my Mercedes merchandise.
Disruption! I want a shake up which I hope is coming with Lewis changing teams, having a knock on effect to other teams and now also with the news of Adrian Newey leaving too. A good change around in teams and more competitiveness between them.
Watching it on Sunday afternoon with my Dad. We were a ‘racing family’ which meant we lived on baked beans and gruel, but always had a racing car in the garage. So as a 6-year old I just figured I would naturally just wind up being an F1 driver……who knew I’d wind up being a travel agent.
Monaco – its maybe not the greatest racing, but that’s not the point. It is just an awesome spectacle, and with the French Riviera as the backdrop, there is something quite magical about the event…. Read more
Abu Dhabi, without a doubt. The quality of the facility, the great racing, the fact it’s the season finale, and I love the UAE. Plus, if you know where to stay you may get lucky and find Fernando Alonso at the table next to you at breakfast.
Interlagos for the Brazilian Grand Prix. Such an iconic race with an incredible history, and the atmosphere looks to be the best on the calendar. I saw Lewis win his first championship there. I was also at the Pistenklause at the Nurburgring watching Jenson button win his first championship on a tiny tv with dozens of other motorsport fanatics. Epic!
Alonso and Sainz. My wife is from Madrid and I moved the family there a few years ago (and now commute to London) so I’m supporting our local heroes…..plus, its nice to mix it up a bit in the office.
Given what we just saw at Miami, it looks like there’s a lot to look forward to in 2025 – Ferrari and Lewis taking the fight to Verstappen, plus Lando winning more and challenging the Red Bull dominance.
